Relay for Life

February 16th, 2008 marked the Kickoff for this years Relay for Life of South Whidbey at WICA in Langley.  Guest speaker Kelly Henriot told her struggle and triumph with cancer as others received important Relay information on how to start a team, or join a team.  This year marks the 12th Annual Relay for Life on South Whidbey, and while more than 2.5 million people participate in the Relay for Life each year, it's not nearly enough.  

The Freeland Chamber of Commerce is forming a Relay for Life Team consisting of chamber members and their friends or business partners.   To join our team go to  http://events.cancer.org/rflsouthwhidbeywa  and in the far right corner click on "View Teams."  There you'll find Freeland CoC Relay for Life.  Click on "Join Team" and fill out the appropriate information. 

You can also use this process to simply make a donation.  Team Member's Handbooks will be available in the Chamber office to help you start your fight against cancer, please feel free to swing by and pick one up (hours 11 AM to 3 PM Monday thru Saturday).  The Relay event will take place at South Whidbey High School's track on June 20th  & 21st. It starts at 5:30 and goes until 11 am the next morning.
